QUALIFICATION AND FORMAT OF THE EVENT

The men’s night slalom in Crans-Montana, which will take place on Wednesday, 11 January 2023 on the spectacular Mont Lachaux/Nationale slalom course, will have 30 participants.

The first 20 competitors on the WCSL« World Cup Start List » are automatically invited. Should they not take all of the places set aside for them, they will be supplemented by other competitors on the same list, and by some of Swiss emerging talents. 

The format of the race* is as follows :

  • Start list is established according to WCSL points :
    • Draw for race numbers 1-7 and 8-15 ;
    • Race numbers 16 to 30, according to WCSL points (if no WCSL points, according to FIS points).
  • 17.00
    Qualifying round with 10 competitors for two "Wildcard" in the main field of 20 athletes on the FIS WCSL list.
  • From 19.10
    Four heats (incl. final). Heats 1 & 2 the six participants with the slowest times are eliminated; heat 3, five. In the final, the five best racers compete for a total prize money of CHF 50,000.

  • No protest is possible.
