Volunteering : a fascinating way to experience the ski races up close

Without them, it wouldn’t be possible to hold any sporting event -  and that applies for the Alpine skiing races in Crans-Montana too. Through their commitment at all times in the different organisational sectors, both before and during the races, volunteers play a valuable role. They deserve acknowledgement and thanks. And this is what Marius Robyr, President of the Organisation Committee, did with great warmth at the traditional volunteers’ evening at La Bergerie du Cervin restaurant in Vermala. At the same time, in his typically enthusiastic way, he motivated young and not-so-young to get involved in the Ladies’ European Cup (26 – 28 February 2018) and the Ladies’ World Cup (3/4 March). A great evening, thanks to the official Crans-Montana Alpine ski races orchestra, « Les Amis de Sonville » (Nendaz) too.

The "Bénéclub" volunteer club for the Crans-Montana skiing races is always delighted to welcome new members. If you’re over 18, have some freetime, and if you want to experience these important international sporting events from the inside (for 2018, ideally on the following dates : European Cup, 24 to 28 February – including two training days, and World Cup, from 2 to 4 March – including one preparation day), then don’t hesitate to sign up via the following link : /en/volunteers/
The Organisation Committee thanks you in advance.

Some incredible statistics that perfectly illustrate the importance of volunteers in Swiss sport: some 735,000 people offer their time every year at small, medium and large events, as well as in clubs and federations, totalling an astounding 73 million hours of work ! Their time is given entirely free of charge, but its value is priceless. There are no other words : HATS OFF TO YOU and THANK YOU !
