Songwriter, composers and performers, their music is instantly recognisable.
For over 25 years, this family band from the Bernese Oberland, made up of dad Hansueli, mum Annemarie and their children Melanie, Kevin and Mike, and accompanied by accordionist Urs Meier, has been bringing generations together. When they are on stage, you can’t help being captured by their overwhelming enthusiasm for playing music, and stylistic and linguistic boundaries disappear in a matter of moments.
As well as talented virtuoso Melanie’s outstanding yodelling songs, they also include traditional music, country, rock, blues and popular music in their repertoire, and it's impossible to pigeonhole the Oesch family's musical style. One thing is for sure though: their enthusiasm, friendliness and the unbridled joy they take in playing always captivates their audiences, whether at big festivals in front of thousands of people, or in more intimate settings. The Oesch's die Dritten concert is at 21.00. Bars and food will be available.
A trio from Austria will launch the 2024 World Cup Party. Die Fetzig'n ... the name says it all! Wherever they play, the atmosphere is wild! Thanks to their television appearances on "Musikantenstadl", "Immer wieder sonntags", "Wenn die Musi spielt Sommer und Winter Open Air", "Schlagerspaß mit Andy Borg" and "Daheim in Österreich", this likeable group from Zillertal are now known far beyond the borders of their home country, and have made an impact on the folk music scene. This is hardly surprising, given that musical talent has been passed down from birth, and music has been part of their life since they were children. Georg Spitaler, Daniel Gruber and Michael Spitaler will be performing before and after the Oesch's Show. Flag-thrower Natal Borgeat and alphorn players will complete the line-up, and we can look forward to a colourful and lively evening.
“Die Fetzig'n aus dem Zillertal" will also be playing on Sunday 18 February from 12.15pm in the sponsor village, located right next to the finish stadium, where they will be providing the musical entertainment.

Click on the photo of the CD cover below to watch the video of the exclusive official "Crans-Montana World Cup" anthem, composed by Melanie Oesch, based on an idea by Hugo Steinegger, vice-president of the World Cup races, and performed by Switzerland's most popular folk music group, Oesch's die Dritten. The tune and lyrics of the song (in three languages) are catchy, and straight away give you the impression of being among jubilant ski fans, the "Oesch-Sounds" fit so well with the atmosphere of the ski races. It was played and performed for the very first time in public at the World Cup Party on Saturday 22 February 2020, to a packed house.
