As last year's traditional World Cup Party could not take place in January due to Covid 19, the event is now scheduled to take place as part of the 2022 World Cup races, on the evening of Saturday 26 February, in the Centre sportif Le Régent in Crans-Montana. The line-up is promising: the popular music sextet Oesch's die Dritten, proudly celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2022, and also very popular in French-speaking Switzerland, will be performing their "best of" programme, specially arranged for Crans-Montana.

Oesch's die Dritten’s music is unmistakable, authentic and unique, just like the history of this friendly band. What started a quarter of a century ago as an experiment in a small setting has now become a household name in folk music on national and international stages, with over 200 TV appearances and some 1,700 concerts in 14 nations in the last 24 years! They have been awarded seven gold discs, two platinum discs and one double platinum for their albums. The repertoire of this family band from the Bernese Oberland, which is made up of Dad Hansueli, Mum Annemarie and their children Melanie, Kevin and Mike alongside accordionist Urs Meier, ranges from traditional Swiss folk music to blues and rock & roll, to variety and country songs. The virtuoso and unique yodelling style of the singer Melanie has been one of her trademarks for years. An example: the anthem of the Crans-Montana Ski World Cup, composed by Melanie in 2020, has been watched over 300,000 times on Youtube and Spotify (see and hear it here below)!

Just a moment in the presence of Oesch's die Dritten and the magic is already happening: their enthusiasm, joy and passion are contagious. This is guaranteed to be the case in Crans-Montana on Saturday 26 February.

Entry to the festival is only for people that have been tested, recovered or been vaccinated against Covid and who can prove this at the entrance to the tennis hall with a Covid certificate. Certificate required for age 16 and above. If the World Cup Party cannot take place due to Covid-19, tickets will be refunded.

For the first time in Crans-Montana, the famous Schwyzerörgeli Thürler-Mosimann orchestra, featuring additional members for the occasion, will perform before and after the Oesch's Show.  We are sure to enjoy a varied programme from these outstanding musicians. Flag thrower Natal Borgeat and alphorn players will complete the programme. We can already look forward to a colourful and energetic evening ahead!

The Oesch's sound is so well suited to the atmosphere at ski races. The anthem was played and sung for the very first time in public in front of a packed hall (photo) during the World Cup Party on Saturday February 22, 2020.
