The Italian dominated in the first training session on the Mont Lachaux piste this Thursday. Corinne Suter took 2nd place, just in front of Lara Gut-Behrami.
Conditions on Thursday were idyllic for the first training session for the Crans-Montana Downhill. On a piste in excellent condition, despite the sun and positive temperatures, Sofia Goggia was at her best. The World Super-G vice champion sliced the Mont Lachaux piste to mark her territory, two days before the World Cup Downhill.
It was an excellent start for Corinne Suter too. The double medal winner at the Worlds in Åre took 2nd place, 0’’80 behind the fastest time. However the skier from Schwyz missed a gate after a jump. As for Lara Gut-Behrami, she showed that she is ready to shine in Crans-Montana. The skier from Ticino took the third fastest time of the day, 1’’03 behind Sofia Goggia. Priska Nufer (6th) and Joana Hählen (9th) added to the solid Swiss results.
