Visit from Corps Commander Laurent Michaud

Marius Robyr, president of the Organising Committee, had the pleasure of hosting Corps Commander Laurent Michaud, commander of the Army's operations and involvements. He is responsible for the planning and operations management for the Army, specifically for the provision of formations for major sporting events organised in Switzerland.

For the 2023 World Cup in Crans-Montana, 220 soldiers from the Exploration Battalion 1 will be on site, the Cp expl 1/1 and the Cp eng cdmt PDG, reinforced by air force weather specialists, medical staff from medical school 42 and traffic control specialists. 

During his visit, Corps Commander Laurent Michaud inspected a detachment of the Organising Committee's infrastructure and piste sector. He was able to see for himself the excellent work and good spirits among the troops.
