Joana Hählen is very fast in Crans-Montana

Joana Hählen has adapted well to the time difference with China, and easily dominated the first training session for the World Cup races in Crans-Montana. "My training went well because I didn't make any big mistakes, but my feeling wasn't great. It was pretty hard. I was a bit surprised that I was this fast. I was still very tired this morning", she said afterwards. On the Mont Lachaux piste, which she loves, the skier from Lenk put in a solid performance to beat Norway's Ragnhild Mowinckel by 0.65. "I'm pleased to see that my skiing is still there and that I can be fast. But I also made a few mistakes," said the Scandinavian. France's Laure Gauche took the last step on the podium in this training session, eight-tenths of a second behind the race leader.

Joana Hählen dominated the first training downhill in Crans-Montana. The Bernese skier beat Norway's Ragnhild Mowinckel and France's Laura Gauche.
